FLEE LEARN
Improve buyer trust with practical lighting, sharpness, framing, background, angle coverage, and honest condition photography.

The photo has one job
A resale photo should help a buyer understand the actual item. Visual polish matters, but accuracy matters more. Do not hide defects, materially change color, remove logos, or invent accessories.
Use clear, even light
Place the item where light reaches the important surfaces without harsh glare or deep shadows. Window light can work well when it is consistent. Reflective and dark products may need angle changes rather than stronger exposure.
Check that the photo does not shift the item's material color. If white balance is uncertain, include a neutral reference while shooting and compare the image with the item in person.
Protect sharpness
Clean the lens. Stabilize the phone or camera. Tap the product area to focus. Review at full size before packing the item away. A bright photo can still fail if the label, texture, or defect is blurred.
Frame the complete item
Lead with a clear view that shows the product without cutting off important edges. Leave enough breathing room for marketplace crops. Avoid so much empty space that the item becomes tiny.
Keep the background quiet
A simple background helps the item separate from the scene. Remove unrelated clutter, private documents, reflections of people, and anything that could imply included accessories.
Build useful angle coverage
The right set depends on the item, but often includes:
front and back
sides or depth
labels, size, model, or maker marks
included parts
material or texture detail
every material flaw or sign of wear
Do not claim authenticity or invisible condition from ordinary images. A photo can show evidence; it cannot prove what is not visible.
Listing-ready review
Before publishing, ask:
Is the product immediately recognizable?
Are key details sharp?
Is the color believable?
Is the background free of distractions?
Are important angles and defects present?
Does the photo represent exactly what the buyer receives?
